^Lot 1567 ORDER OF MERIT OF THE GERMAN EAGLE 3RD CLASS.

A very attractive example of the WWII Order of the German Eagle Third Class. The award itself is beautiful silver gilt featuring the finest white enamel on the Maltese cross with German eagles on Party symbols between the arms of each cross. The suspension ring is marked " 21 " & " 900 " indicating manufacture by Gebruder Godet & Co. of Berlin. The length of the suspension ribbon is nearly 2". The order is housed in gold embossed red leather case with a black velvet interior base and white silk pillow that is gold embossed " Deutcher Adlerorden V. Klasse mit Schwertern ". CONDITION: both medal and case show very light wear and are in superior condition. (02-27526/BF). $700-1000.
